Opportunities for Aid

Scholarships and Financial Aid

One of the primary goals of Rees Atelier is to make the highest quality education in realist art  accessible to students of all financial situations.  We are generally able to work with students with payment plans, and we also offer a few scholarship opportunities to reduce the cost of tuition.

Merit Scholarship

Veteran Scholarship

Deadline for the Scholarships:

Currently, we are offering one merit scholarship per term.  Those prospective students who demonstrate a high apptitude for problem solving skills, a dedication to the time required to be successful, and a stronger portfolio will be selected.

The scholarship currently covers half the cost of tuition: $275 of the $550, for a 10 week term.  Students are able to reapply each term, but currently only one scholarship is available.  This often changes with fundraising efforts, so check back often.

To apply for the scholarship, students must submit a portfolio of 5 of their strongest works (drawing or painting), via email to info@ReesAtelier.com.  Please include a (minimum) one paragraph statement on why this type of training is important to you.  An interview is also required, and often carries more weight than the portfolio submission.

Currently, we are offering one veteran scholarship per term.  In an effort to make a difference in the lives of those who served, the Academy offers a place of rigid structure and skill training.  The scholarship will be awarded to those who express a strong interest in the program.

Decisions for the scholarship will be made beginning 1 month prior to the beginning of the term, and any scholarships left will be distributed two weeks prior to the beginning of the term.  Please have your portfolio submitted and interview arranged as early as possible, no later than two weeks prior to the start of classes. Please also be aware that if the Academy does not reach its minimum necessary enrollement to cover operating costs, we are unable to distribute a scholarship.
